Regional Competitions mark the first stage of the Michigan Envirothon experience! These one-day, outdoor, hands-on learning events allow high school students to showcase their environmental knowledge across core topic areas: Aquatic Ecology, Forestry, Soils & Land Use, Wildlife, and a Current Environmental Issue.
Students rotate through multiple outdoor testing stations—each designed to challenge their understanding of natural resources through real-world applications and problem-solving. Teams earn scores in each area, and the top-performing teams from each region advance to the State Competition.
