EGLE Presents: SepticSmart 2025: Septic Systems and the Environment

Monday, September 15, 2025 (9:00 AM - 10:00 AM) (EDT)

Description

Michigan's residents rely on over 1.3 million septic systems to treat the wastewater generated in their homes. Proper septic system use, and routine care, are vital to protecting public health and preserving our highly valued groundwater, lakes, streams, and waterways. Learning about septic systems can also help you avoid costly repairs.

Webinar attendees will learn about:

•the basics of septic systems,

•septic systems and the environment, and

•septic system operation and maintenance tips

You’ll leave this webinar with access to educational materials, a better ability to manage your septic system, and a stronger understanding of how to be a good steward of the environment.

After registering, you will receive an email from "EGLE-Events" with a link for you to use to join the webinar.

Individuals needing language assistance or accommodations for effective participation should contact Joel Roseberry, roseberryj@michigan.gov by August 29 to request language, mobility, visual, hearing, translation, and/or other assistance.
